Your budget stays yours.

1. The simple answer

The GulfBudget app does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or retain your personal or financial data. It has no account, backend, analytics, advertising, bank connection, cloud sync, or third-party software development kits. We cannot see your budget.

2. Information you enter

You may enter accounts, balances, transactions, categories, budgets, bills, goals, exchange rates, notes, and preferences. This information is processed only on your device to provide the app’s features. It is not sent to the developer or any third party.

3. On-device security and storage

Your ledger is stored in an encrypted file on your iPhone. Its encryption key is stored in Apple Keychain using a device-only protection class. If you enable the app lock, GulfBudget asks iOS to verify the device owner using Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. GulfBudget does not receive biometric data.

The encrypted ledger and its key are intentionally excluded from cloud backup. This improves privacy, but it also means your GulfBudget data cannot be recovered on another device or after the device is lost, erased, or replaced.

4. Data sharing, tracking, and children

GulfBudget performs no tracking and shares no data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. The app is a general personal-budget utility and is not directed to children. Because no information is transmitted to us, we do not knowingly collect information from children or adults.

5. Retention and deletion

Your information remains on your device until you remove it. Use Settings → Delete All Data to erase the encrypted ledger and its key. Deleting the app also removes its local app data. Because we do not hold a server copy, we cannot restore deleted data.

6. Optional support communications

If you voluntarily email support, the developer receives your email address, message, and any device or iOS details you choose to include. This information is used only to reply and troubleshoot your request. Never send balances, passcodes, or other sensitive financial details. Our email provider processes the message only as needed to deliver and store email. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, prevent abuse, and maintain a basic support record, then deleted. You may request deletion at any time by emailing the address below.

7. Changes and contact

If a future version adds any feature that transmits data, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that feature ships. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
